ADC to DVI Adapter black-outs LCD Cinema Displays

If anyone is having blackout or power-on issues with an old Cinema Display and an old ADC to DVI Adapter.

try this:

1.) Unplug the the ADC monitor cable from the adapter.

2.) The monitors ADC connector allows for up to 0-90 degrees of rotation of the cable. Make sure ADC connector on the end of cable is perfectly straight.

3.) Re-connect the cable to the adapter. monitor should return to full functionality and not black-out again.

This has worked on 2 separate 22" cinema displays and 2 separate adapters that would previously blackout over-time or power-on the monitor with the MBP off.
